For artists, creative professionals, or anyone with an interest in creativity, let this course be a “spa day” to nourish your spirit and inner artist!

Practiced for thousands of years and verified by scientists, mindfulness meditation is the training of attention to be fully present in the here and now, without judgement or expectation. It’s known to bring countless benefits such as:

  • Calm, focus, & concentration
  • Release of negative thinking patterns
  • Insight and compassion
  • Lowered blood pressure, pain relief, better sleep, immunity boost

We’ll explore the evidence linking meditation and creativity, including the holistic “brain dance,” divergent thinking, and flow states. Each session includes a short instructional talk, guided meditation, & creative exercise. Join us on this exciting journey!

Every Thursday, 7:30 – 8:30pm PST (online)

July 25 – Sept 12, 2024 (2 parts, 4 wks each)

There’s the option to take either part of the course:

Part 1 (4 weeks, July 25 – Aug. 15) “Engaging the Still Point”

or

Part 2 (4 weeks, Aug. 22 – Sept 12) “Deepening Direct Perception”

The course is organized sequentially and every session is unique, so the best experience will be to take both parts. However you are welcome to join either part 1 or 2 independently.
